Nestled in a spectacular setting in the hills of South Salem, this 1960’s house and its outdated kitchen were gradually deteriorating. Dark and cavernous in much of the interior, the clients sought to revitalize and bring more natural lighting into the house. We selectively introduced brand new skylights, updated lighting, and lighter paint colors, creating brighter areas without completely altering the architectural character of the house.

The kitchen was reconfigured to increase storage and work space, guided by the particular functional desires of the client.  Exterior decks were redesigned to minimize obstruction of views, while still providing pleasant outdoor gathering areas.
